Do Rustangs rev their motors at you?

stock vs stock, can we beat the lightning? no, yes?
Stock vs stock. In the quarter mile it's really close, a drivers race, with a minimal advantage to the Z. If you take the race to top speed the Z will walk away.
I've put over 5000 miles on my ride, and so far only one person has obnoxiously revved their engine at me at a stoplight. Of course it was a riced out civic.
Almost 100% of the guys in mustangs look at me with real sh!tty looks on their faces. They either roll their eyes, look at me like they want their asses kicked, or quickly look the other direction and pretend like they didn't see anything. Not one of them has been interested in racing, which suits me just fine because I'm not that interested in street racing anyway. They never seem to act like a normal person though, which is definately amusing. It also seems like the import bunch are a much more respectful group. Their self esteem doesn't appear to be hurt when you see them checking out your ride, unlike the macho domestic dicks.
I don't like generalizations and stereotypes, so I apologize to any mustang owners on the board I might have offended. The above is just what I have noticed in my own experience. I'm positive you're not all insecure ******.

I always get that from these kids in riced out Civics with the fart can mufflers and huge wings. I think they just want to see me take off. Its annoying though, Everyone, in any car, always revs their engine next to me in my town. Its gotten so that I wind up taking my wife's car instead of mine.

I had 2 Mustangs before the -Z-: A 65 289 (built) and a 68 428 SCJ.
I posted this thread cause they REV at me even if they aren't going the same direction.
I think it is a way they mark their territory

I even get all kinds revving at me at the light all the time with the yellow Mustang GT. Like someone else it does get so bad I prefer to take my wife car or our little Neon so I won't be messed with. I am 27 year old now and don't prefer to race everyone. Don't get me wrong when I was younger in HS and even after I would race all the time with anyone in anything! Heck, I still have a friend who is 27 and races anyone who tries to pass him on a highway no matter what car it is & he drives a 1994 Ford Ranger!
mm.. i havent really noticed anything. but yesterday as i was gonig to a friends house i did see the sweetest mustang gt-r edition convertible. it was sooo sweet. i revved at him
what is up with that rustang crud again?
mustang guys dont bother me. it is those damn civics. they always want to race. i just smile at them at give them the "wassop" nod.
i had 3 mustangs before and yup it was those civics bothering me again. when i had my mustang, i had nothing to prove to anyone. i knew my car was badazz .
btw, when i had my civic years ago.... it was those civic guys that would bother me.
i guess civic guys in general want to prove that they didnt have to spend as much money to make their cars as fast? i dont know.
sorry to civic lovers, that is just my personal experiences.

I can get the Z plan on a Mustang (ironic eh?). It reduces the price by $thousand$.
I drove the 2004 Cobra, Mach 1, GT, and Ragtop.
They go straight just fine. Cornering sucks. No sex appeal either.
After driving the -Z-, I just couldn't purchase a Stang.
Sorry DAD, may you rest in peace.

I had a few mustangs rev at me before, i usually try not to even look at them. But for the ones who wait for my attention, like i had this one guy in a GT pull next to me on the highway, he slowed down to my speed and revved, guess he wanted me to do somethin, so i slowed down and got behind him, and for some reason he got over and let me pass....guess it was my Front mount IC that scared him...
One thing Rustangs do so well...rust (and lose value). I see literally dozens a day here. One point is the "rebadging" I see so often here in socal. I seen a cobra today that had a SVT badge on the back, but didn't even look or sound like a SVT. Eventhough there is no real difference in looks between a base and a SVT (yet another downfall), knowing those cars in general I can tell the difference. You gotta know your enemy right? lol. It's just another fault of the Rustang. The V-8 sounds all grand and monsterous, but its bark is WAY worse than its bite.
It's a real cheap, overweight, underpowered, American 4 seat, low build quality, "wanna be" sports car. Great for the masses. Obviously it is since many tens (if not hundreds) of thousands are sold each year. The SVT being rare is I guess considered a "mans" car. It's a real contender and would whip Z a** with 390hp. The thing is that the two real ones I have seen around here in the last year were driven by girls (no diss against our cool Z chicks that know cars.
). What does that say about the Mustang? Ford is taking over the cheap American sports car market with Camaro and Firebirds now gone. At least the Trans-Am WS-6 was good looking and fast. Go to the forums and see how many Mustangs have build quality issues the first year. Any more questions?
For the sake of the muscle car era and to give cudos to Ford when it DID kick a**, I really hope the 2005 which looks great, holds up to its predecessors namesake and isn't another family car with an underpowered V8.
So point in question, I see few guys driving them and even fewer dare "rev". The few that pay attention to the Z either intentionally look away thinking their car is "all that" or stare constantly thinking "If I only spent $10k more, I could have gotten one of THOSE".
