Default Logical reasoning for a "faster" 350Z

Nissan has stated that the 350 "will be the fastest Z ever." I don't think that is true yet, and I don't know what metric(s) they're comparing. I think the 90s Zs were "faster" in some, if not all, measures.

Anyway, if this is true, and unless Nissan has lied to us, "will be the fastest Z ever" implies that they still have some improvements in store for the 350Z.

We'll find out when or if they can state that the 350Z *is* the fastest Z ever.

The thing is, they never defined "fastest". Did they mean 0-60? Did they mean in the quarter mile? Did they mean top speed? Is the 300ZX faster in all of those catagories?

Yeah, exactly Dr. Bonz, that's what I'm wondering. And I'm sure people here know these numbers.

Look for a post I had that showed a performance chart between 350z and the 300zx twin turbo. The 350z outpeformed it in all categories. I forget what website I saw it on.

If Nissan's statement refers to the Z33 generation, instead of the 2003 350Z, then the statement would almost certainly to be true. As with all new vehicles, subsequent model years always improve upon the performance in one way or another. I am sure the 350Z would not be any different.

Nissan has never stated that the new Z would be the fastest Z ever. They have stated the Z would have at least 260hp(287 actual),do 0-60 in under 6 seconds(5.4 fastest time so far),and under 30K.Also the new Z is faster by all accounts than the previous Z as far as 1st year testing.I believe once the magazines get a production, broken in Z their times will be even faster.
