your kidding right? you waxed the area before you applied the emblem? the idea is you clean and remove any wax to any area that you are applying anything that has an adhesive on it, and the heat gun? you use heat to remove adhesive, by softening the adhesive properties of the tape. Who on earth gave you instructions like this?

wow man don't be so angry because your sticker is off center, realx and take a deep breathe and everything will be ok. and I am not bitching about anything, I am just voicing my opinion as I may do and saying that that thing is wayyyyyyy off!!!! at least an entire letter and a half. I rest my case.

actually if you measure from the red lines on each side to the V6 on the engine cover they are equal, my lines are not crooked.

Actually, actually, the original stuff on my engine cover are not even centered. Consider this. For the V6, the left corner of the top of the V measures 2-1/4" from where the line is; the top right corner of the 6 measures slightly over 2-1/2" from the line. IOW, the V6 is slightly to the left (by ~1/8"). Now, this may be b/c the V is not as "dense" of a symbol as the 6 and so it makes the V6 look more centered and pleasing to the eye. Don't know if they planned it that way or not.

However, this is where it gets wierd. The left edge of the Nissan hamburger is 3-3/16" from the left line while the right edge of the hamburger is 2-15/16" from the right line. IOW, the hamburger is slightly to the right (by 1/8"), the same amount that the V6 is off-center, but in the opposite direction! Neither is centered!

Now, the NISMO looks like it is off some to me, but it may not look off to the guy who stuck it on there. The size, density, and weight of the letters may cause it to look centered to his eye - not even considering how he is measuring it. Even if it's off some, so are the other original emblems anyway.

i measured as well

the NIS is more letters but less length than the MO so this is why it looks the way it does. i did spend time on this i didnt just slap the decal on there there was a reason i put it where i did.

i will say this i am 100% sure it is aligned with the center row of bolts behind the engine cover. it is what i used for my refrence

i was centering the nismo decal based on that and the hole the hood latch goes into not based on the engine cover lettering. its 5 unequal letters so its going to be off one side if you look at it but if you step back and look at it from the context of the whole strut bar and engine bay in general its not off center.

Hey, if it looks good to you, that's good enough for me. Thanks for showing it to us!

Peace.

Aftrer reading all these posts about your sticker not being centered... I am CERTAIN I can see that you're left tires Toe In is greater than your right.

I think you better go get a new alignment done!

The word "well" should be capitalized.

There should be a comma after the word "well".

The word "offcenter" should be "off center".

There should be a period after the last word.

But, at least your stickers are centered, right?

If he was, he'd learn to use smilie-cons to make his point. This is the internet where the written word does not convey attitude or intent.

no I em just a reely bad speler..............

For god sake, YES I am being sarcastic! MC350Z - I am just messing with you, the decal looks great. I had the same dilemma on my strut bar with a Hopup Racing decal. I can't believe that no one here can take a joke. I apologize if I offended anyone. And no I don't like to use little smile icons unless absolutely necessary. They are a little to fem for me. But Wayne, you still are a teachers pet and I wish I sat next to you in class so I could cheat off you. Peace.
