Default NEW Z emblems INSTALLED & Partial DEBADGE!**PICS***

Pics kinda suck, but you get the idea. I also took out the rear "350z" emblem.... NO signs of paint discoloration! And I've owned the car for 1 year!

Does this look centered in the rear? I used the old residue as a marker, but the more I stare at it, the more I cant tell (the license plate numers will throw you off...dont look at that).

Looks real nice, I wasn't going to install the new badge in the rear because I thought having the "350Z" emblem in the left corner and the new Z emblem in the middle was ridiculous over-kill.

I've got a question for you, when you removed the rear hamburger, was the underneath metal completely clean or are there guide buttons protruding out to align the emblem correctly? See I happen to be one of those car owners that prefers cars to be totally badgeless. I've had other sportscars that I paid to have emblems removed and all holes filled and repainted. If possible I would love to scrub the back of the Z clean as a whistle. Would that work or would I have to have some holes or buttons removed and painted at a body shop?

What's the easiest way to remove the old badge?? I tried last night, but gave up. I needed three hands. I'll try again tonight.

^ easiest way is to heat it up with a hairdryer. really concentrate on one end, take a small flat head screwdriver and pry the one side up, once it's start's to come up, then take yours fingers and pull it off. It took me 5 minutes top to take it off. BE CAREFUL NOT TO SCRATCH YOUR PAINT WITH THE SCREWDRIVER!!! Make sure the head only comes into contact with the emblem, do it slow in the beginning.

nah, I just peeled it off and then the remaining residue I just rubbed off. I soppose "goo gone" or something similar would have made it easier, but I didnt have any at the time. All the extra products are not necessary imo.

First and foremost, it looks great! As for being off I was thinking the same thing until you take into account that the pic is on a slight angle. Since you are off to the left with the shot it throws off the line. Thats why it looks closer to the right license plate screw. Besides, who is going to notice when you fly past em?

thanks for the compliment, I'll probably keep the "Z" in case I need to get the car back to stock for some reason.

an easier way to remove the existing badging is to use fishing line instead of a screwdriver.

One more time, I would like to remove all badging on back, leaving a clean surface. Are there any holes or buttons underneath any of the badging in back?
