can a radar detector and nav operate simultaneously
i emailed valentine1 about 4 or 5 times to get an answer from them..................those a-holes.......they never got back to me....
so anyway, does anyone have nav and a radar detector

i don't know jack about radar detectors but will not get one if it means i have to turn off my nav due to signal detection

Of course you can.
One is a receiver of radar transmissions, the other is a reciever of sattelitte transmissions.
Similar to a TV and a radio. You can use both at the same time.
Now of course if one or the other is built poorly and emitts al kinds of spurious EMF signals, then one might interfere with the other's reception. But generally with today's quality built electronics this is seldom an issue.
The only know instance I know of that is recent has to do this the "Press" macintosh ibook computers installed in our Hockey Area. NCRC (Panthers). It appears that everytime any maintenance crew presses their 900mHz walkie talkies within one-hundred feet of the press boxes, they reboot. Gotta love that. The iBooks have poor emf grounding due to their predominate plastic cases.....
