the insurance is actually cheaper than my mercedes ml 320 was.
i was expecting that a 2 door, 2 seater, convertible sports car's insurance would be through the roof, but i was pleasantly surprised.
oh, btw welcome to the forum.

Re: g...but Z???
When i was shopping between the two cars the G and the Z were less than $10 apart per 6mos. I can't even remember which one was more expensive. The Z is pretty reasonable...I remember it is over $100 less per 6mos than an S2k (my former ride).

i used to pay ~$1200-1400/yr that was no tix, 32 yrs old married.
i lived in jersey city, but my ins was new jersey manufacturers. They actually have decent rates. Remember that it can take 3mos to get NJ ins. Soooooo.....I had my car reg'd in NYC for the majority of time i was in NJ and simpl;y acrried NY ins which was 1200/yr.
State farm as I recall wanted $2300/yr in NJ.
Now here in socal, i pay $800/yr....woohooo!
btw. the Z is still cheaper to insure than my FX35/tech
