Default AutoWeek Reports Feathering Lawsuit

Everyone here knows about the feathering issues, and I'm sure people already knew about the lawsuit but there is an excerpt on autoweek today.

I think $74k is a little excessive, but the problem should be fixed.

Gives Zzz owners nice leverage with Nissan, though.

Good post. (I knew there was some reason I check in here!!)

Ya 74k is excessive.. but that's be sweet. We'd ALL be running twin turbos.. lol.

But seriously, I wouldn't want Nissan to go broke over this issue, just MAKE IT RIGHT!

You could buy A LOT of tires for that amount!

All I ask is that they develope a fix, do it for me at no cost, and until then keep replacing the tires when they wear out. That's all.

Default 74k?!

Given that Nissan had been reasonably contrite in addressing this issue, the 74k amount seems grossly excessive. When you can buy two replacement Zs for a tire problem one might start to question the dollars the attorney is seeking.

On the other hand, it will certainly get Nissan's attention and provides lots of room to settle out of court for a respectable amount.

I'm a simple fix myself - make it right for the people who got the short end on the 03s. Simple replacement is not sufficient. People's time is valuable, so toss in a set of front tires over and above the replacements as an act of good faith and appreciation.

Make sure 05s are dialed in. When I get my 05, I will not be so patient and forgiving if Nissan could not get their act together after all this hoopla.
