my 2nd Z stolen and wrecked
its horrible how there are so many scum bags in the world esspecially ones who steal cars wreck them and then leave the scene of an accident. only 2 weeks after i gotmy new z roadster it was stolen while i was at a party. The boy driving hit a telephone pole, a tree and a metal mailbox. he left my car on the grass and never got in trouble for anything. thank god insurance paid for it.

That sucks ... in the end you will be paying for it because your insurance rates will skyrocket.

Sorry to hear, there will always be idiots out there. Some where down the road he will get his though, he'll end up getting what he deserves. Your name gives me the slight hint you're a girl, do you think it had anything to do with that? Some people are just dumb and cant deal with women having nice cars.

So you know the guy who did it?
If someone admitted to me that they did it, and then offered to pay up, and then ran out on me....
I would find that SOB and surely make him regret it.
The trick would be doing it so that you dont end up in jail....

It sounds like the car was wrecked before you had reported it stolen. Is that correct? If so, then red flags immediately go up in a police officer's and an insurance company's head because this is a common ploy used by people who are invloved in an accident and then flee only to report that the car was stolen.
Of course, there are cases where someone's car is stolen and wrecked before they discover that it is stolen, which I'm sure is what happened in your case. I only wish to point out that when there is a accident and the driver flees and there is no witness who can identify the driver then the owner had better have a good alibi and be able to explain how the car was stolen especially in those cases where there is no visible signs of hot wiring.
I hope it all works out for you because with the facts you have given us. You will have to do a lot of explaining.

ignoring the 3 Zs; how did this fella get your keys? I like to atleast lock my doors(tends to help protect against theft) but above all, I try not to give the theif the keys.
sounds like this "theft" is atleast 50% your fault unless this guy stole the keys from you too.
not sure Id be giving my keys to any person that might do that.
*I wouldnt give my keys to anyone that wasnt family... but you know, whatever*
