Why does it take SO long to get replacement parts??
I've been waiting over 3 weeks now for the body shop to get in the parts to fix my Z. And this is at a Nissan dealership. I understand they are shipped from Japan but you would think that a Nissan dealership would be able to have the Japanese dealer send the parts priority mail and get them here really quickly. Anyone know why it takes so bloody long?
I have my front fixed within 5 weeks, replaced front fender, 1 head lights, and many other parts... the shop take 5 weeks (including ordering parts) i wonder if it is because here in CA has more parts floating around?? maybe u can have ur dealer check dearlers in CA?? Good luck!
Well I work in the Parts dept of a Nissan dealership in Louisiana...
So parts may be on backorder. You can ask them if they are on
backorder or not.
Also if you give me exactly what you are waiting on I may beable
to check them for you....either part numbers or the exact body parts.
Another thing to do is ***** a lot.......then ask them to put the
parts on Customer Care......
If they don't do that then ask them for a number to call nissan
and ***** them out....that will come back to the GM of the store
and then the GM would ***** out the Parts for not putting it on
Customer Care.........Believe me on this!!!!!!

Are you from England??????
Ok. I just called the body shop and they have finally started work on it. The parts came in two days ago and they have been doing some kind of laser work to get the frame back square. Once that is done, the panels can be cut out and the new panels should slide right into place. So, good news for me today
