yeah no kidding. who uses an 800x600 desktop. 1024x768 is probably still the most common in use today, but 1280x1024 is probably standard on systems under a year old nowadays.

 

Actually, I'll bet you that most of the world still uses 1024x768. The higher resolutions make fonts and icons terribly small, so if you sit as far from your monitor as the ergonomists tell you is good for you, stuff gets hard to see....Thus the wallpapers are 1024x768.
