What to do with stock wheels?
I am intending to upgrade the wheels immediately upon delivery. Is it advisable to keep the stock wheels? Or if the wheel shop will take a trade, or should I sell them online/privately? Any thoughts?

I have the same dilemma. With the stock wheels being offset, it really limits the type of car that could use them. Otherwise, I could sell them to somebody for a decent price.

keep stock wheels for winter/snow tires. Put your nice rubber on your upgraded wheels. It makes winter tire changing so easy. After fall, remove nice wheels/tires, mount original wheels with snow tires, store nice wheels/tires over winter, Spring comes, winter wheel/tires off, Nice wheels/tires on, already balanced - ready to go. Plus it keeps your good wheels in top condition since they don't get exposed to winter nasty chemicals/aggragate.

.........plus, if you keep it a number of years (10 - 15), when you get ready to sell it it may be worth more in stock condition rather than what looked good to you at the time.

Judging by your guys' locations - I would keep them for snow tires.
Actually, I have a jeep for use for adverse road conditions. My car won't even see the rain. I waited to buy a sports car until I had the money to keep a beater around.
On another board somebody spoke of widening wheels. Is this possible? It doesn't seem feasible with an alluminum wheel, but I know little in the matters of mettalurgy.

If you don't want to keep them for winter use put them on EBAY!!!
I cannot believe how many people are willing to buy my junk. It always seems to sell.
And I am sure you know you can put a reserve price on your wheels so you don't have to sell them if you don't get the cash you want.
