Default Looking to Buy a Used Z

Sup guys. I'm in the market for a used Z since my S2000 was totalled by an idiot who ran a red light. I've done some research on here and I've read about the tire feathering issue. I was wondering if you would still get the feathering after you upgrade to a bigger wheel/tire size and an alignment? Also, do you guys think that 25k miles on an 03 would be too much? I really don't want to get another S2000 and I found a great deal on a Daytona Blue 2003 enthusiast. Thanks for any help.

well if u get the z, make sure you get a REALLY good deal
its resale value is kinda bad and well it is a glitchy car
i almost bought a 03 z with 16k miles for 26k auto enthusiast out the door inclidung tax and title, so thats a good price atleast

What car has "resale" value? Most people don't buy a car as an investment....and if they do, thay aren't managing any of my money....:-)

Blackarrow you make no sense bro. First you say the Z has bad resale. Then you almost bought a used 03 for $26k otd...people can get them new for $29k-$30kotd NEW. $3k for a year and 16k is hardly any depreciation. Also according to a recent NY times article, the Z was one of the top cars in resale. Also, with the exception of tire feathering the G35 has most of the same glitches as the Z.

Rich - if you are worried about feathering, my advice is to stay away from the Z period. It's quite clear that nissan has no intent to resolve this issue for those afflicted...and I would recommend avoiding doing business with Nissan PERIOD. That said my S2k had some issues that honda was slow to deal with as well...but at least they took care of it.

Edmonds has published that the Zzzz has better resale value than any other sportcar in 03. It is a check rated vehicle in CR & MSN car page reader reviews give the car around a 9.5 out of 10.

"glitchy"; I don't think so.
