Kind of an interesting story....I called about a dozen shops before I found one that would agree to do it. They had another Z in the shop getting a different fiberglass kit installed (C-West or Wings West, I forget the name).

Anyway, it took these guys a LONG time to get my car done and they had to re-spray the bumper 3 times to finally get it to come out right because every time they would bake it, the paint would bubble due to little pits in the fiberglass or something.

Anyway, they were very professional, and the guy I worked with confided in me that because of the difficulty of working with fiberglass, my car and one Lexus that had just come in with a fiberglass kit were the last fiberglass body kit jobs they would accept. It's more profitable for them to do regular body shop work because urethane is pretty much 'paint 'n' go'.

If you end up getting a urethane kit and want their name, PM me.

As someone else who had this kit before me told me, "The switch for this kit looks like it's straight out of the 70's. It's a huge, grotesque looking rocker switch that I wouldn't put in my car on a bet. I had the shop wire the fogs right into the parking lights.

KC, your car is absolutely beautiful. You really don't get to see that many body kits on redlines. That is one of the best looking setups that I've seen.

Rare that you get to see an entire body kit on a Z at all anymore...so much is mix and match. Nice work KC, that's a job well done and it shows.

The car looks great!!! I bet you are getting a ton of looks now. By the way, how did your alignment come out w/ the Eibach install? I don't remember seeing the final verdict.

Hey, that's right!! Well, Ferrari ended up doing the alignment. They were able to get it completely in spec in the front, and were able to achieve spec toe in the back, but not camber.

They got camber to within about .8 degrees, but ran out of adjustment room. I'm not sure how close that is, so I'm keeping a close eye on my tires. If I start to see abnormal wear patterns, the 350evo camber arms are going right on the car.

Yeah, I kinda thought that as well.....It looks kinda like a modern day reprint of the 240. Not a bad heritage to draw from if you ask me!!

Yep, your car is the only other redline I've seen with any portion of the Vizage kit on it. Your car is awesome. It was very inspiring!!!

Yeah, yeah....I know. I'm working on it. But having just spent almost 4K on the body kit, it's not really possible for me to go spend another 3+ on wheels/tires. They're in the plan though, for sure! I'm torn betweent GT-C's and SF-Winnings. I like both but I'm starting to see a LOT of GT-C's out there, and I like to be unique, so I'm leaning towards the winnings. We'll see!!
