Nissan Extended Warranty - Please Tell Me What You Paid
Hi Everyone,
I ordered my 05 Roaster today. I want to get the extended warranty for it. The gold preferred plan with a zero deductable is what I am looking at. Originally, the dealer quoted me $2,500 for it but today I hagled for his best prices and here is what he gave me:
72 Months/100,000 Miles $1,216
84 Months/100,000 Miles $1,368
I realize I can buy the extended warranty from any dealership so if everyone out there could let me know what they paid. I have no problems buying the warranty from a different dealership if I can get a better price!
Matt

wow thats pretty good. I tried getting down to as low as possible and the guy told me it cost him $1500 so the lowest he could go was 1,700... guess he lied. paid 1,700. This was for 7 years 120,000 miles if i remember correctly.
but the truth is i regret getting it... When i start modding seriously the warrenty is gona go to hell :/

I think they all lie. I wonder if there is a school they go to for that stuff - something like the institute of lies. It's too bad you just can't order a car on the internet for the lowest price possible and have it delivered to your house!

At one time carsdirect.com had the lowest prices and would ship the car right to your doorsteps. Now their prices are nothing special and they no longer offer delivery to your door.

They offered me lower financing if I bought the extended warranty. It would have been like $895, but ended up being a total of $740 with the lower financing, after interest and everything.
This was for 6 years 100k miles on an enthusiast.

I got the Gold Preferred 72Mo/ 100K mile warranty for about 1500. Mine has $50 deductibles. I purchased with 35,500 miles on the clock, so that may have a bearing on the price. My understanding was that that I was receiving the warranty at dealer cost, but dealers have been known to lie....
1200 is a heck of a deal in my book.
