Default Air Pocket...HELP!!!

I put Samco coolant sport hoses on my Z. They look great.

In doing this, I now have an air pocket in my cooling system.

Any suggestions on how I may be able to correct this problem.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Thank you

Make sure there is coolant in your overflow tank. The system actually sucks coolant back in. The air will collect at the top of the system, when it gets hot and over pressurized the cap will open and push out the air into the over flow. Then when the car cools down vacuum develops in the cooling system and sucks coolant back in from the over flow. The radiator cap has a 2-way valve. This should work.

Well, to be technical, the cap has a 1-way valve. It lets gases out under pressure but won't let them back in under vaccum.

theres a release valve in the back of the engine, by the battery compartment. itll take a while of running it; open; close, run, open close. on and on till its out.

This site has detailed instructions on how to do the Samco hose swapover. It then goes into details on how to properly refill the radiator and bleed the cooling system. It should be what you need...
