Thumbs up help: engine bay heat seeping into interior

Sometimes it does this, sometimes it doesn't.

It feels like the hole center of the car is hot, and the plastic is really warm.

the floor feels warm and the seats get warm too.

I'm driving at night and it feels like the summer heat inside.

Sometimes it doesn't do it and it feels normal and cool.

What could be causing it?

Its from the exhaust/cats. There's no insulation material since they needed to save weight. Road trips in the Z are waaarm.

Make sure you have your vents on re-circulate instead of pulling air from outside the car. You guys might notice the difference. Having it on re-circulate closes the vents to the engine bay which reduces air entry.

Nothing to do with buying yours used, the Zs are warm. There were other discussions about this topic before. You may try searching for them. I check my seat warmer from time to time just to make sure it is not on.

Live in Arizona - temps up to 110 and auto gets even hotter sitting for a while in the sun! Never have a cooling problem - best A.C. ever in an auto!

Often I find myself directing AC to feet; never had to do that with other cars.

Thank God I am reading this. I thought I had been having hot flashes. I think Nissan knew the car got really since as soon as you turn the vent on, the AC comes on. Most cars do not have this happen. Looking forward to Winter.

Just put down a hotdog in a bun near the floor... instant snack in five minutes

Don't worry. With the Z, there was a lot of cost cutting in order to make it affordable, and some of the creature comforts of convenience (i.e. normal temp. foot wells) were inevitably sacrificed...
