Default rev limiter?

Being the inexperienced stick driver that i am... I was trying to push the car hard (i passed my 1200 mile break-in) and i screwed up a little and shifted late, but i noticed on the tach that the needle was bouncing right around the redline... so does this mean the 350z has a revlimiter? And also, does this mean I didn't do any damage to the engine? Dont flame me please,, not everyone's as knowledgable as some of you guys hehe

Yes, you hit the rev limiter, and no, it won't hurt your engine.

If you are driving hard you just wont see it in the needle you will feel it, it as happened a couple of times when I have been to busy with the surroundings and it feels like the car is stalling and jerks.
