Default taking a roadtrip to north jersey nov 12-14, how bad are the potholes?

Im from jersey but havent been there in 2 yrs and forgot if a lot of the potholes on the interstates have been fixed (a la turnpike and 287). Im going up from atlanta for the wu tang concert at the meadowlands, but i have 19" volks on the z and dropped it 1 inch. I guess i could swap out the rims and put my old 17"s on for a weekend but id rather not if i didnt have to. I know volks are strong and all but the potholes in jersey the last time i was there were horrible. Also, i worry about the car gettin stolen possibly (not likely tho) in the giants stadium parking lot during the concert, who knows. Advice? (and no i wont rent a car because im 22 and id rather not pay those OUTRAGEOUS charges for being under 25 that i have been charged in the past for renting a car)......

I'll be at the wu-tang concert also!!!

You won't have issues with potholes on the turnpike. 287 is fine up where I live... not sure about further south/west.

The only potholes you will run into are getting into Giants Stadium. And I wouldn't worry about your car getting broken into. If you care that much, just park it somewhere else in NJ and take a cab/bus for only $1.

I live about 15 minutes east of the stadium and work at exit 8A off the Turnpike in Dayton. You should not have too much of a problem on the turnpike just stay in the cars only lane as long as possible. The pike merges about exit 15. STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE FROM THE TRUCKS.

287 on the other hand is a P.I.T.A. with the trucks, debris flying around and traffic.

All in all both roads are not that back pothole wise. Like afr0puff
said the only problem you should have with potholes is the approach to the stadium and the parking lot.

If you really want to play it safe you could park in the Secaucus shopping center on Rte 3 just west of the stadium (security all over the place) and take bus or cab to the stadium.

I'm in Passaic...about 5 mins from the Meadowlands...I wouldn't worry about potholes as people have said...I'd stay away from trucks as well...Once in a while I hear a thud on my winshield from flying pebbles/rocks.....peace all
