I promised to post a few more of our tests on the car. This weekend the ZCCNE ( Z car Club of New England ) held it's fall road rally -
170 + miles of all twisty raod course like roads. Almost all of us have comp licenses or a lot of competition driving skills.
Needless to say the speed limit was never obeyed
35 MPH twisties at 70 etc. etc. you get the picture. 15 Z's mostly built fo rthe track
VDC on -
My car is the performance model.
The car handled all the corners well and very predicatable. Heel and toe was easy and threshold braking not a problem.
Very little oversteer and was able to accelerate our of the corners easilly. Even though I am still limited to 4k an had to short shift. Full accelaration in all gears with no probelm.
Braking was very good for the type of driving and roads.
I did not like the tires as compared to my other cars on Proxy T1-S tires.
I believe a little wider track in the rear would also help. 18x10 is a perfect fit.
Regards

to another track junkie...
Where exactly was this? From your photo it looks like it was at a track somewhere... if so, which one?
I think 10" wide rears would be overkill, especially since the Z's rear is very well planted in 3rd gear...

Nice... any photos from this road test?
How organized is ZCCNE? Do they set up HPDEs on a regular basis? I'll likely venture up to a northern track next year, but in the meantime I'm sticking to ones close to me...

Nice picture...... but nothing to do with your text. What happened to your car and 170 miles of twisties?
"Even though I am still limited to 4k an had to short shift. Full accelaration in all gears with no problem" Is that full acceration to to 4k?
