Default TSB: Clicking Noice from Rear Axle

ok guys i know about the TSB on this. The question i'm asking now is ANYONE that has gotten this fixed, please anwser my questions.

1. did they have to take off the wheel and take apart the brakes and junk to get to the axle? if you can explain the process.

2. if so, then did they re-do an alignment?

3. did it take long?

the reason why i ask is cause i just do not trust anyone except myself with my wheels and brakes.

any help will be greatly appreciated.

3. At Infiniti it took them about 6 hours w/ a loaner. They usually work on your car right away if you plan to wait for it. So it might be an hour or two at nissan.

If its the one I am thinking about, the put your car on a lift, tighten I believe one bolt and set the car back down takes less than five minutes.

I had it done, but I'm not sure if they had to remove the wheel or not. I don't think they did because the bolt they tighten is accessible from underneath the car. Of course, they can't get my car on a lift, so that's kind of out of the question anyway. They had to lift my car with a floor jack on the diff to do this.

Don't know, i had to leave the car in the morning

Refer to #1

3. did it take long?
I don't know what the hell they did the whole day, they must have been eating crap or super busy. I left the car at 7am and picked it up at 7pm. If you are planning on fixing this, be ready to wait.

I had it done. I'm looking at the work order and here's what they did:
Overhaul both drive shaft assembles which includes: 2 new wheel bearings, new "joint", repair kit.

So yes, they definitely have to remove the wheels and remove the calipers and rotors to get to the axles and replace all of this stuff. Since they have done it the car has been perfect.
