But I didn't find the interior to be a cut above the Z, in fact after a month of driving the Z, it seemed a bit too cushy to me.

It all boils down to personal preference. I will just tell you that I've never been as happy with my Z as when I was driving away from the Infiniti dealership.

This was an Infiniti owned prototype. May have been a custom paint job but it appeared to lack the orange peel finish.

Well I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I'm reserving my final decision on the Coupe vs. the Z for my test drive when it arrives here in Dallas showrooms any day now. I miss the comfort and fit & finish that my Lexus has and I also understand the coupe WILL have a front glove box, which I use regularly and it really gets on my nerves the Z doesn't. There are several fit & finish qualms I have with the Z. Overall I am pleased with the "bang for the buck" but the Coupe may just win me over and I'll have to sell my Z............

The G35 coupe is a sports car! Just because it has a rear seat does not mean its not a sports car. The 911 has a rear seat!

Also there will be over 30K 350Z produced each year, and only 12000 G35 coupes produced each year which means the Z will be more common on the road.

1. G35c a sport car? c'mon i'm not trying to put ur car down but i don't think it is~ obviously it's a GT not a sport car~
u shouldn't think ur G35c as a sport car or else u'r the kind of "wannabe" person then~

2. it's really personal on this, the end, i love it, if the z doesn't have the end like this i'll probably not like it as much as i do right now. i appreicate what nissan did cuz it's like a evolution on design, hence some people accept it, some people don't.

3. lol if u think G35c will be rare than ur buying the wrong car~ both will be extremely popular very soon and like i said before, ur not buying a ferrari or something so don't even think that it will happen~ also u can see how many CL type S as a example on the road for how common the coupe will be. now i think u get the idea~

my $.02 tho~

Last time I checked the 350Z didn't have LED tailights.

First off I have not driven the Z or the G35coupe, but I just drove my friends 02 M3 yesterday. First off it has a HUGE motor (power wise). It was no doubt fun and fast, but it was not very nimble and light (compaired to the S2000 no surprise).

I think the G coupe is more on the way to the M3, fast poweful but also large and comfortable. (some people think the last two aspects take away some of the fun to drive or sports car edge.

Things to like: trunk, back seat, rear visibility.

things not to like: 100+ pounds and 10+ inches in length.

I wouldn't get too excited about the Coupe's glove box. Yes, it has one but it's very narrow and shallow. From my recollection, it was approximately three inches high by 10 inches wide by five inches deep. Maybe a nice fit for the owner's manual but not much more.

My eyes! My eyes!

I just don't like the "everyday-car" look of the rear-end.

That's all I need my friend to hold my WALLET, CHECKBOOK & INSURANCE card. It's a pain in my a** to have to rerach behind the passenger seat all the time! And let's not be ridiculous. That would not be the ONLY thing swaying me towards the Coupe. Performance #'s are on par, the paint WILL be better (I know this for a fact) more quiet & comfortable, and any and all 'performance upgrades' that can be done to the Z can be done to the Coupe. As I've stated, I'll wait for a complete test drive for final review...

Looks very nice but I would take the Z over it.

Especially after this photo session. And I can't explain it.

2+2 sucks why bother. Unless you have a kid because no grown up is going in there.

Sun-roof is well done. Oh that would be godly on a Z. Hopefully a t-top Z is comming.

Default No need for a strut brace in the G

The G doesn't need the rear strut brace because it has a rear seat with the "package shelf" that ties the sides of the car together. The Z is a hatch and is open, so the extra bracing is needed.

WRONG! The 350Z has LED center tailights at the top of the hatch window.

Haha.. you're in the same boat as me TXSTYLE.. GS400's, got Z's, and now looking at trading in for G's. I still haven't decided yet but i'm leaning more towards keeping my Z just because of the hit i'll take if I trade my Z in. I was thinking, I might keep it for 2 years and down the line when the G35 Coupe gets midlife upgrades such as a nicer interior (we know they'll change it out), and more HP, plus any first year problems will be solved I'll shell out the money for it. Plus, you've already taken the hit on the Z's depreciation, might as well live with it for a while... Who knows, maybe i'll change my mind again, i'm too fickle with cars...Wish I ahd more accountability when choosing vehicles..hehe

She always says "WRONG"! Nobody cares about the stupid third brake light. I'm certain the two actual taillights were being referenced, which are incandescent.

I'm glad Infiniti decided to make the third light clear with red LEDs so it's less noticeable. It made sense when manufacturers were putting the taillights down on the bumper, but it seems like it's all but obsolete now.

Default Really don't like the blue coupe

Based on those pictures I don't like the coupe, could just be the blue color. However the brilliant silver and white g35's I saw in person were VERY nice. I think I would be very happy with either one. Somebody posted some very nice G35 coupe pictures on October 23rd..couldn't find them...but it was sweet. If anyone comes across them attach them to this thread so they will recirculate. STICKING WITH THE Z...IT'LL TURN MORE HEADS !
