I agree with you PumpedVA. The only thing is with the 'vert. being so effortless, it's probrbly hard for the Nissan execs to justify the option cost? Just a guess. A targa would be great....
I wonder how much of the chassis' rigidity is derived from the roof structure? I imagine that these days, in sports cars a roof is more a luxury than a structural requirement.

In most cars, without a doubt the roof is key. I had a 2000C5 .vert. It was, supposedly the first american auto that was designed as a convertible, then the roof was added. I believe my Z roadster is heavier than the coupe. And I'm pretty sure a bit of re-inforcing went into the car.....Good point you brought up......Dave
