Whats with all the TROLLS!!!
Anyone else notice the increase in the number of trolls recently??? It seems like it was a planned attack or something. Mustang, Camaro, S2K trolls. I have nothing againts these cars, but if you want to bash the Z, do it in your own forums. I know there are some people on this board that own the Z or will own the Z and also own the above mentioned cars, that's fine, this post is not directed at you.
I usually ignore the trolls, but recently there has been so many. I know that the urge to respond to the trolls post can be great, especially when they talk bad about the Z, but I think in order for them to leave we must treat them like they do not exist. RESIST THE URGE TO RESPOND TO TROLLS.

I actually haven't found the new posters any more rude or bitchy than some of the regulars. 
It's nice to get a viewpoint from the owners of the Z's competion. We might think our competion is porche boxsters and BMW M's, but I'm betting most of the people buying the Z were looking at cars in the price range of the LS-1s, WRX's and the like.
Hell, if I could drop 45 grand on a car I wouldn't have bought the Z. I bought the Z 'cause it's a killer sports car for less than 30k. I chose the Z, but that doesn't mean the other cars don't have their perks.
Keep an open mind an you won't be offended.
By the way, calling them trolls just eggs them on.

There is a way to help reduce how much forum members have to be exposed to troll comments...get the owners of the forum to start creating more topic subdivisions like almost every other car enthusist forum does. A section on "street encounters/kills" will move almost all the troll comments to that section. Until then all the trolls will post their comments in the General section since that is the ONLY relevent section on this forum.

Excellent idea. I don't think we should call it the "kill" section though, since I'm sure that we wouldn't want to condone that type of attitude/atmoshpere here at my350z. Anyone else think of a more civil name for that forum?

There was a comment made in this section stating about how a Z28 "wasn't worth the gas" to run. This inturn was posted in the forum that I go into every once in a while and got my attention.....and I learned that this "gentleman" is in my area. Just as all of you don't like disrespecting comments about your car, I feel the same way and was going to issue him a challenge. By the time that I was able to post he made a retraction.
You can check out my reply and see that I have nothing agaist the 350Z....as a matter of fact I think that its a very nice looking car and not to damn shabby in performance at all (I have even stuck up for the car on my forum). I just wasn't going to put up with a *moderator* making such a comment without a response.....and it was set up so that I was able to get to this forum pretty easily.
Just giving reference as to why more people and "trolls" are posting

Im a stanger, but my great friend owns a Z.. Im a big fan of the Z, and I just came around because to be honest I dont have much else to do... my buddy was on here surfing, and I decided Id post our encounter ( 360R vs Z )
Who honestly cares. It is your car, it looks good... they have their cars ( S2000 is a rip off anyways.. they are bitter that they overpaid for a 4 banger )
dont worry about Stangers.. some of us are stupid, but a majority of us, you will find, are crazy car nuts, like yourself!

2. Small ***** syndrome causes them to mistakenly equate their cars manliness with what they are missing.

Umm, sure.In any case, the S2000 and 350Z owners in Austin and Dallas have been getting on quite well, with several joint events between us. Don't ask me why the rest of the world is nuts.

The f-body ls-1s are killer cars. Just 'cause we didn't choose them doesn't make them crap. In fact, I woud wager their is more bitching about quality on this board than ls-1.com....

I have no bitterness over paying $32k for my car, and I feel it's worth every damn penny.
When someone is shopping for a roadster... ie, Audi TT, Mercedes SLK, Boxster (S), and Z3, then the S2000 is a great deal and isn't an "overpriced 4 banger". The S2k costs half of what most of those cars do, and is on par, or even faster when it comes to performance in straightline, roadhandling, stopping, and slalom.
Compare it to other roadsters, and it's no where NEAR an "overpriced 4 banger".
