Default Test mule Spy pics and Video?

Hopefully this isnt a repost.

Video:

http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=121314

Pics:

although it looks like a normal 350z,
you can already see the akebono fixed caliper brakes from the g37, and what looks like the same revised suspension setup... id also think itll have the vq37vhr w/ about 340hp.

also interesting is that the car was being followed by a 350z and a cayman-s (according to worldcarfans)... should be nothing but good news for those that dont think the z is dynamic enough. this car will bring tons of value under $30k.

Pretty funny to cover the bumbers, markings, etc on a car as recognizable as this.......it's a shame there is no intercooler peeking out from the grill.

Good eye, but still nice that it doesn't look like an overhaul.

Yea I dont want a drastic change either. Although I dont think the hatch will stay like that I mean look at the headlights they are not flush with the body either. I love the Z just the way it is. A bit more power never hurt anyone though.

Those calipers look like painted Brembos to me. I haven't seen the new brakes on the G37 yet.

agree. looking at nissan's recent strategies with the G,Altima,GT-R,etc i have a lot of faith Nissan will do well. it won't be a huge change.

there are probably some significant changes though. headlights are probably pushed out because the new FM platform is bigger in that area to accomodate larger engines and a new layout for things...

the lights may not be flush since the bumper might be just a temporary thing to hide the fact there is a different front end to be tacked on later..

From the pics it looks like the the Z in gonna have a updated front bumper + headlights, new side skirts, hatch + tail lights + rear bumper, f/r fenders that have more bulge to them to acentuate the wheels more - over all I don't think the redesign will be major like from the 300zx to 350z; just a little more something on the '07 theme; I think that nissan won't keep the 350z crowd secluded as much with this one. The engine on the other hand...

Looks like the rear wing is slightly different. Has a little lip on the rear.

i dont think the new Z will share any body panels from the current one, although the look will be very similar. like the g35-g37

Those headlights look like they would fit fine. Looks like they were in a rush and didn't want to take the bumper off to put them in, or there is something behind the lights that no longer allows the headlights to fit. I think they just taped them in as an afterthought to get the mule out on the road for testing.

If you look closely at the A-pillar and center of the roof, it appears to be separate pieces; both have subtle angle changes at that seam. From the first picture, there also looks to be a seam at the beginning of the roof about an inch or two from the windshield...I hope they are experimenting with removable roof!

Your right! Or partial retractable hardtop!

Definitely a targa there are two extra seams in the roof. The hatch shape is different to accomodate tilting back and retracting the roof pieces I bet.
