I just talked to the Nissan dealer here and they said they are expecting the 08's in Sept and they supposed to be 315-318hp from what they were told.

is there any press release yet? My guess is that the new Z is not going to have less HP than the new G. They can't let their sports car be slower than their luxury car.

 

they aren't slower. they are faster than the g's, primarily because the g's are porky.
HP numbers aren't everything...

 

Whats with all the hp bragging rights? Who cares who's faster? They are after different markets; its not like they're competing with each other. Besides, HP isn't everything... the G37 has more weight to carry around from the extra luxuries/amenities anyhow.

Does "1 hp" more over the G make some Z owners feel better?

Oh, and regarding the 2008 350Z; don't ever believe the salesman. That should be a rule for us enthusiasts

I wish the 350Z will be discontinued after 2007.

Nah, I heard the 08s come out sometime between September and February and have between 300 and 400 horsepower.

 

I heard for '08 they are taking two motors and putting them together and calling it the "700z". it will be double the powa!

 

Whatever man I heard Nissan is going source the VW W12 instead and it's going to be mounted in the rear.

Same here i just put a custom cardboard aps twin turbo set up with stickers on my windshield i have 850hp to the wheels plus a blow up doll in the passenger seat for show believe me gets more looks then a new set of rims would.

 

Nope you are all wrong the 08 Z will be powered a bio-fuel. There will be a pump sucking farts out your driver seat to power the car. FHP
