I believe this, I got a call a while back from someone from Nissan to be a part of some "focus" group, for the new "Z" and thats all he said, he knew my name and everything. I just bought my 07 when this happened and I blew it off thinking it was going to be about the 08 so I said to myself, its going to be the same. I didn't go, but now i wish I had gone...the fact that I live in Irvine as well as the person who posted this is making me believe this is a legit post, still sucks we can't see pictures, its a whole marketing technique used many to keep sales going for the current ones.

The 09 will be the new model. I have it on good authority from a person "In The Know" with Nissan. Frequent traveler to Japan to consult as a rep from the ZCCA. He stated to me that the "09 will blow you away" Of course, I have not seen any pics but believe that the new body will come in 09.

Thanks. I kinda liking it. Its pretty consistent with some other renderings we've seen that weren't as detailed.

If those pics are accurate, it looks like the back end is inspired by the Chrysler Crossfire (yuck!).

 

That looks very close to the other most recent renderings I've been seeing, so either that's close to what we'll get . . . or all of the artists are copying off of each other.

I like it a lot. The two things I like least about the current car are: Lack of curves and a back end that is too symetrical with the front end (as a child of the '70s, I like a larger, powerful looking back end that slopes down to a smaller looking front end).

This design seems to improve both of those elements while keeping the elements that work.

I hope it's at least close to that.
