I'm actually being a bit lenient from the information we have right now when I include the first two groups. Nissan says that the new Z will be out before the end of the fiscal year, which ends with March 09, which means it will be an 09 MY in early 09. Now of course that is only if everything goes as Nissan is planning.

Solo, you must have overlooked the release on the Nissan news site. There's a link to it in the post where I said that everyone saying 09 model year were correct. So we can expect an 09 model year before april 09.

I agree that if they change their mind then it will affect the outcome, but as it stands they say the 09 Z Coupe (370Z as specified in the maintenance guide to differentiate with the Z Roadster since they are going to be different) will be out at the end of this fiscal year (before the end of March). I know that's what they say and accept it until I hear otherwise. Probably the difference between you and I: when Nissan says it will come out early 09 as and 09, I say "okay" and you say "we'll see". No biggie. Perspective.

In the new issue of nissan sport Jim Wolf is interviewed and he says the vq37 will be replacing the vq35 in the g sedan in aug and the z in jan. Since the 09roadster comes out in sept that leaves the 370z to get it in jan.

Intro late '08, on sale early '09 as a '10 model. They'll skip the '09 model year altogether for the new coupe. Same scenario as the release of the new Murano was.

So you, like SOLO are ignoring what Nissan said in their news release about an all new 09 Z coupe? Was it similar with the Murano where they said that it'd be one year then released it as a different model year or did they just skip a year (that's how I remember it).

Actually, yes, almost all my posts are from this section. I came here to discuss the upcoming car. Nothing against the rules there. I'm a huge Nissan fan and have been since the VG30DETT days.

I work for a Nissan dealer, and we had a special training for the 09 Maxima, and they showed us the inside scoop on the 370Z, it will be coming out as a 2010 arriving around July 2009.

They said it will be 335hp, 5 more than the G37.... :\
