I know of a shop that can give you a "560z" right now. It will look like the current Z with a 07+ hood but it'll certainly be fast.

I wasn't aware that the clutch felt soft in the 07 but not in the 08?

If it is going to be a weekend car, then why just not wait it out? You still have 3 months to think about it, plus might get a better deal later down the year. Since you already have a Z -- you won't get the all new excitement feeling (I could be wrong but you know what I mean).

From the past doubt the 370Z will be releasing anytime soon...expecting delaying until 2nd quarter of next year -- plus with all the pre-ordering and etc.

What?? the suspension and clutch will be the same on a 07 base and 08 enthusiast. there is a diff in the 08 but you could put a better one in the 07... and what exactly do you mean by acura type slow? what is slow? As far as the 370Z goes, if it looks at all like the concept photo's that've been floating around, then the current 350z will be much better looking on the outside.

I think you should wait 6 months to see what the 370z has to offer. You will have more choices and be able to make an educated comparison.

Wait, then you have the option after drving both instead of buying one now & possibly regretting your choice & only options is keeping it with regret or trading it in for thousands less.

five-sixty-shmity...

I can get a 6.2L Z tomorrow

Think V8 conversion

As for an '07 base 350Z what did he find wrong with it??

I can't think of a better starting point for some mods, which is what I did

Still waiting for some damn turbo's and may just have to do the 6.2L instead

This is exactly what i did. Originally wanted to wait for 370 but realize i would rather have a last model of 350 than 1st year of 370. So i got an 08 Enthusiast as well.

Same here. Besides, who knows what the 370 will look like....

like others have said... on a more serious note, the first year models will have kinks to work out.

Don't write off the first year 370Z. The platform is the same upgraded FM platform that has been refined for quite some time and is in production in other Nissan models. I'm not saying it'll be problem free, but it should be relatively low compared to the days when platforms weren't shared.
