Your response doesn't seem to be addressing what I was saying. I wasn't advocating that the AWD Gs will be insane performers. Its power to weight ratio is terrible due to being loaded down with luxuries and just being huge in general.

That's correct. The Z32TT had SUPER HICAS. Four wheel steering. Very cool set up but as the cars got/get older most people have or are eliminating the system off the car because it's very expensive to repair.

Never has been a 4 wheel drive Z car (production). And I doubt (IMO) there ever will be.

wow, you can read a dictionay. And you are a know it all, which is what makes you so annoying, and being called a know it all is not a complement.

Know-it-all or know-all is an epithet applied to any person who exhibits the belief that he or she possesses a superior intellect and wealth of knowledge, and shows a determination to demonstrate his perceived superiority at every opportunity.

yea, you pretty much fit that bill.

I hope not too...

It would have to be a mean boosted V6 to offset the weight of AWD: Costly and they already have a car for that. (GTR)

-OR-

It would have to have a boosted 4-banger motor pushing out 350 plus HP to offset the weight: Pricely and not "Z" at all.

Nissan is pushing for a lighter RWD and with the GTR imho they're on the right track. None of this affordable AWD shiet....save that for the rally cars or all-weather commuters.

Well, they never made a G coupe AWD, but now they have.

As I have said, if they make an AWD 370Z they, automatically steal buyers from the EVO X, STI, and 335XI. Screw heritage, it's all about business. If they really cared about heritage, the GTR would have been an inline 6 twin turbo. The new Maxima wouldn't look like a camry with CVT.

As far as price is concerned, yes it's true that AWD increases the cost, but that's why it's an OPTION. If you don't want it, then don't check that little box on the order form. Same deal with navigation/technology/sport packages. Are you saying that the 370Z shouldn't have these OPTIONS because they drive up the cost?

The bottom line is this:

More options for buyers = everybody wins

It would be nice to see an AWD Z. Maybe keep it limited to a Nismo edition.
