I was looking at some altimas with momz and the salesman told me the 370z is guaranted to be less than the current z base price. He claims he knows the price but they cant tell it because they need to get rid of the current 08 sitting on the lot. He also said they had a meeting and the dealership owners showed the current pics (no biggie) and said the reason for the price difference is the 370z is going to be mass produced and the 350z was made according to dealership orders. This could all be Bs but i dont know why he would make this up?

I personally take most of what dealerships say with a grain of salt. With the way the prices of everything are going up, it is VERY hard to believe that the 370z with be cheaper than a base model 350z. Unless of course they sell it without stereo, ac, HID lighting, power seats, power windows... you get the idea.

Not Z related, but when the G37 just arrived at the showroom the sales guy fed me info that owners could get Infiniti logo backlit brake calipers. He went out on a limb and said one of the customers ordered one with the option.

I've asked sales guys enough about future cars to the point they admit they don't have any info.

Why would a dealer tell you the 370z's would be cheaper? They are basically shooting themselves in the foot from an economic standpoint.

Whatever a dealer says, doubt its veracity. You didn't really need us to tell you that this was bs did you? I can only surmise that you already knew that.

haha I was getting a oil change yesterday and the salesperson told me the next Z would have 2 trims. A turbo 4 cylinder version and a 3.7L V6

 

I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest that, like most car salesman, he's full of sh*t and we know more about upcoming cars than they do.
