Nissan 370Z Spotted Testing In Germany, Shows New Details
Yea I noticed the Intercooler looking things on each side....hmmmm.
The bumper light is not going to be on the car. That is for safety in Europe only. They call it the rear fog light.

- Rear mounted bumper light appears to be a shift or an RPM light, I LIKE
- Center Recess on the roof, I LIKE
- Tail and Headlights
I DON"T LIKE
- Anyone noticed what seems like a pair of Side Mounted Intercoolers, 370z TT anyone!?!?!?!?
Overall decent design minus the BOOMERANG LIGHTS, A BIG SHOW STOPPER.

Those are coolers but not intercoolers in the sense that you are thinking. A lot of new cars are using them these days.
That said the only thing I really are the hood lines.
+1000
List of some of the things I look for in a car:
1. Low weight
2. Stiff chasis
3. Tight suspension
4. Engine - responsive, broad powerband with good top-end
5. Intuitive steering and handling
6. Transmission - geared low for higher revs and better response in the twisties
7. Powerful, fade-free brakes
8. Grippy tires
9. Supportive well bolsterd seats
10. Short wheelbase for quick transitions
11. Low center of gravity
12. Rear-wheel drive
. . .
112. Exhaust note
. . .
586. Nice sound system
. . .
6349. Appearance of headlights
Do any of the rest of you sometimes wonder . . . with all the fixation on looks around here . . . that maybe you stumbled onto the wrong forum by mistake?

EW! Damn, I was hoping I would like it but I don't.
Hate the new hatch line. The current one is cleaner
Hate the lights bulging
Hate the "tail between the legs" look the car has from behind. It looks like a dog scooting on the floor.
I hate the side windows. the current one is bad enough with the blind spots.
I hate the rear tails...even though they are still not 100% uncoverd they still seem weird.
Not crazy about the front grill. Looks like a vampire sucking on a lemon.
Didn't mean to sound all negative. I need beer.
I'll pass. not for me. Glad some people love it.

+1 yea i agree the back does look similar to the porsche but on the downside the side or if you look at it from angle from front the sideback looks like the old 240s
im not really a fan of 240s or 300zx
but then again it does have similar shape to the GTR

I have a Z4M Coupe right now and am seriously considering switching to the 370Z when it comes out. Looks great!
Having owned a G35 Coupe before, I do appreciate Nissan's engines quite a bit. However, I won't make the switch unless this 370Z is faster than my Z4M coupe...
0-60 in 4.5 would have me at a Nissan showroom. I'm not too worried about the handling aspect since I have faith in Nissan's ability there.

For those looking for just a fast car maybe, for those looking for a pure sport car I doubt it.
The Camaro is a great car, but its always been a heavy/high power muscle car. The Z has always been a true sports car, providing better driving dynamics/handling. Well, 280Z/300ZX excluded. Oh hell, let's just stick to the 370Z

As far this "pure sports car" BS, the line defining that dated concept is blurring more and more all the time. The GTR is no more of a "pure sports car" than the Camaro (it even weighs more) but it will destroy almost anything on the road.
Back to the 370Z, after studying the pics, I have to take back what I said earlier.....IMHO I don't think this car is better looking than the 350Z. The droopy side window and hump back roof line are just a bit too much 240Z for my taste. As such, it looks too retro......until you view it from the 3/4 rear angle. Those wide rear flares are the car's saving grace, design-wise....very much like a Porsche 993. The rest of it is far less clean the 350Z. Of course, I'm sure it will be a great performer....far better than the previous Z...... and viewing in person is probably the only fair way to really judge the design.
Check it, motor authority has a few more pics from different angles:

It looks kind of awkward from this angle:
But this looks good:

And maybe its the angle but that fuel door looks kind of big, and look at those mirrors! Damn safety regulations!
