I Hate The 370Z...

My only big problem with the 370 is that it "needs" an oil cooler to be run hard for extended periods. (Or it goes limp...errr into limp mode.)
For autocrossing, the lack of the cooler is no big deal, but once you add the cooler so you can do something like the tail of the dragon, your autocross class gets bumped way up and you get thrown in with much faster, highly modified, cars.
All that being said, the only 370 I have driven "in anger" was a Nismo and I was thoroughly impressed. The thing turns so well, I'm still surprised Nissan's lawyers let it leave the factory that way. And after driving all the modest power-bumped 350z throughout the different model years, the Nismo 370 is the first HP bump to get my attention on course. (And I thought I read the Nismo 370 comes with the cooler stock, so no bump in class with that particular model)
I have driven just about every year/model 350 including a later 350 Nismo example. (07 IIRC)
While it wouldn't be fair to compare the Nismo 370 to any of the non-Nismo 350's I have driven, I can say that that the Nismo 370 > Nismo 350.

After going through 2 350z,I just bought a 370z with 4k miles, won't have it for another week or so...370z in my opinion has great improvements over the 350z however the 350 will always have a special place

The first was on '06 convertible that I sold after the roof was cut twice. Bought a new '07 coupe that was eventually rear-ended. I sold it after it was fixed (just couldn't stand the misaligned panels from the repair). I picked up another '07 coupe, loaded in mint condition for $34K....a steal at the time. Last summer, I was offered $35K for it. I was already looking forward to a C7 so I took the money and ran. Started getting itchy for another sports car a couple of months ago but I just couldn't see getting another C6. I wanted something different. I dislike Porsches (long story) and considered the Camaro, but the quality just wasn't there. After driving a 370Z, I found it to be quite a bit of fun and of a much higher build quality than my Vettes.
It's not my dream car, but I do like it and it will fill the time until the C7, Jaguar C-X16, or next gen GT-R become available.

My friends girlfriend just bought a 370. Car is nice for sure but I really really don't like the rear end look. Like every other modern car, it is all squished up and rounded out.
Everything else aside, due to the shorter overall length of the car, the roof line changed and I no longer fit. My head slams against the roof with seat back and down all the way. So that settles my internal debate of ever wanting a 370. I don't have the money of a NBA star to have seats and rails custom made lol

As I said, it's a rumor at this point. Personally I hope the designers come up with something brand new instead of trying to create echoes of the past like they did with the 370.
I would like to see a car that appears nimble, aggressive, and cutting edge. Nissan needs to get away from the Walt Disney "Cars" look. And they should lose the soft colors (Smurph Blue, School Bus Yellow, and Fire Engine Red).

For all of those who are "hating" on 370z clearly never owned one, or even had a chance to take it for a spin at the local dealership. I owned 3 350z, starting with 2005, then 2006, then 2007 ... and to tell you the truth, 07 350Z was pretty fun! i loved it! but when i got into my friends 370z (when I was also hating on it like many of you here) and he gave me a run for my life, i tell you what, the GREATEST Z ever built to date! how it handled! how fun it was to drive it! seats, interior design, EVERYTHING looked nice and fresh! I honestly felt insulted to get back into my 2007 350Z (not stock) ....
I dont own 370z right now, but I tell you what, I count the days till i get to buy one! and will be doing so here in a year or so!!! CANT WAIT!
you can hate, but before you hate, please give it a FAIR TRY. then its up to your heart to decide what is what.

Good to know. Thanks for the info. I'm nearly 100% on holding out for a low mileage, excellent condition Z06. I'd prefer to pick one up for under 40k but if I have to, I know I can find some excellent condition 06/07's for 40-45k. I'll sit on this idea for a year or so and see how the prices look then.
The Z06 is amazing and I would have bought one but I just needed something different after having a C6 for almost 7 years. The 370Z certainly can't compare to a Z06 as far as performance goes but the quality is much better. I hope the C7 raises the bar for Corvette quality.
When you're ready, you might want to check Carmax. They often have very clean, low mileage cars and their prices are right in the ball park. They say they don't negotiate, but don't believe it. I bought two cars from them in less than month and got them to drop the price on both.

Keep your HR 350 and do not sell it. I have sellers remorse like no other! And going from HR to 370 is not worth it.
I had FI Exhaust + HFCs on my Z and it was faster than any stock 370z Ive driven(2 of them).
Trust me, dont sell your Z if you dont have to, pay it off, keep it and love it......... and then buy something else, never sell your Z.
