Default Comparing the german test mule with the latest one.

Is it just me... This mule doesn't give that wow factor like the one in germany. The wheels and brakes etc.. Hopefully this is just a base trim etc..

The mule in germany looks for some reason much better than this newest one.

But Imo the one in germany either has camo that makes it look better, a highly spec'd model (my guess) or I hope not, one that they are using mainly to get good performance numbers.

I know options come into play wheels, tires, brakes, aero parts and interior etc.. But if these new test mule pics came out 1st? I bet It wouldn't have had the same impact as the previous one. My point is a bare 370 doesn't look so hot.

Don't get me wrong I still love the look. As I wasn't planning on getting a base model anyway.

It's amazing what a rear spoiler and better wheels (that happen to look bad *** because they are dark like the car) will do. It's the same beast though. Hell yeah!

Greg,

Even though you can't see this (which is stupid if you ask me, which you didn't, so I'm just saying it ), the new mule is a base model with 18" wheels, cloth interior, no Nav (not available on base model according to options specs revealed earlier), no sports pack (brakes and wheels), and no aero package (spoiler is all as far as I can tell). The bra really conceals the front of this mule keeping the wow factor down.

Later (err, guess not).

I hope that bra on the front bumper is stuffed with something to conceal the look from the german test mule

the picture of the proto from Germany does look better because it looks so much sleeker.

looks like batmobile

but i think it just has to do with the angle at which the pic was taken

No worries. Some kind souls pm'd (thx *******) me your reply.

Yes ITD...I know... its just a stripped down base model. Hence why I added the ()

And as you know how some people here are. This was just my attempt at a subtle, non offending and non biased opinion. That a Base Z looks very very plain.

I agree.. Some angles taken of the new batch. Make the car look shorter and stubby-er.

I'm wondering what the proportion of the rear quarter is like in person. The butt end is a tad stubby, which makes it look like it was really shortened. I also wonder if safety requirements affected the design since the front/rear is stubby, flat, and doesn't look as aerodynamic. So if you look at the GT-R, the height of the trunk looks much higher when parked next to the Z, G, and even a Corvette.

IMO the side view has a little G37 hint to it too.

A good reason is that a Wide-Angle lens was used for the US pic, and a telephoto lens was used for the German pic. They both are basically exactly the same.

A pic taken with a long lens flattens out the subject, where a wide-angle lens will distort it.

The US pic was taken at one of the worst angles, and worst focal lengths you can use for car shots.

Exactly.....look how much shorter the front and rear overhangs appear when compared to the germany shots...thats the result of a using a wide angle lens and standing close to the car. The German photos are a more accurate view of the car's proportions.

I believe all trims gets the same side gas tank opening.. only problem is that we don't which side ...............yet! I am going to bet it'll be on the right side as usual but the recent pics do show that it's on the left...

Whoever posted the pic reversed the image for comparison reasons. The true fuel door is on the passenger side.

I think its a perspective thing. The one on top is shot from closer and looks more dramatic. The lower one is shot further away but with zoom making it look flatter.
