370z reveal at Stillen in Costa Mesa pics
Here are more pics that might help answer some of your questions about the trunk. Hope it helps

This is what you see when you turn around. It looks like the strut bar but Im not sure. What do you guys think?

Wow the trunk definitely got smaller. Not a big deal since it's a sports car, but hatchback sports cars always have an advantage of large volume trunks (e.g. Corvette trunk is huge). However, this trunk looks tiny.
I think the rest of the pictures look great and the car is definitely a step-up exterior wise and interior wise. An overall great improvement from Nissan, I just wish it was more (like Z31 to Z32 WOW-type progression).

No offense but the stillen 350z blows the 370z away in the looks department and even more in the performance department. The 370z looks like some other company made it to sell against the 350z lol. It looks so cheap. Like the genesis coupe
IMO despite the fact that I think some of Nissan/Infiniti's recent designs (more specifically, various design details) cross the line from questionable to just plain whack (such as the 2nd gen FX's stupid wave grille and fender vents), I must applaud Nakamura for being a forward thinker in terms of design. He is never one to rest on his laurels and IMO he realizes that one strong design deserves to be followed up with another strong design rather than constantly resorting to minor nips and tucks because you're too afraid to mess with a good thing.
There are always a few exceptions (the somewhat bland Infiniti EX and the not too different from the 1st gen sans some blingy fender vents 2nd gen FX come to mind) but IMO, Nissan pushes the design envelope further than any other Japanese automaker save for perhaps quirky Subaru...and even they've gone a bit mainstream with the introduction of the recent Impreza. The only other Japanese manufacturer who has a lineup with more hits than misses IMO is Mazda. But whereas Mazda plays things a bit more clean and a bit more conservative a la Audi, Nissan is ***** to the wall out there a la post-Bangle BMW except unlike BMW...most of their designs actually work.
/2 cents.
Shiro Nakamura is Nissan's design chief and he has been for some time. I'm pretty sure all designs if not penned by him personally at least go through him in order to be approved or revamped.

Did anyone notice a cig lighter port in the armrest, for cell phone chargers and such? I haven't seen one in the pictures... unless the only one is in the pass footwell, which is retarded if it is... cables stretched everywhere...
