Performance Specs? What is your guess?
The Cayman is 3100????
i wonder how much faster the 7 speed is going to be.... well this is me guessing it will be a decent bit faster, but that is yet to be seen. would be cool if they had a launch control ^^

More excited to see comparo track times. And to hear the Engine note at (the HP peak 7k) full growl.

Do we know for a fact that it's not a double overdrive? If it is... it may not be faster at all.
(Motortrend) The G37 sedan is getting close to 13s flat with a 7spd, and 0-60 is about 5s flat. C&D had the 6MT version and claims there wasn't much of a difference, so they managed around 5.2s 0-60. The sedan weighs around 3700 lbs.
Yeah but the G has the added advantage of 4 wheels launching it
5s flat at 3700 lb. 0-60. Isn't the G37 geared higher though? I know the 370 has a 3.64 or something like that correct? Regardless, 370 should easily be below 5 based on G37 results. 400+ lbs. is a lot.
The only bad part about the new Z is that they removed the Z logo from the air duct in the door
A bit off topic: Is Nissan hinting in any way of a possible limited V8 edition? Perhaps a question to ask during the auto show this Saturday. I'm asking because the V-spec GT-R project continued on so as to keep the GT-R hype alive. Fans still have something to look on to after the initial release of the car. Perhaps Nissan could be doing the same for the new Z.
The sedan lists curb weight around 3600 pounds, 300 pounds more than the 370Z curb weight.
C&D tested the 6MT sedan first, and that was a new car = green engine. Nissan engines are tight from the factory. Results?
0-60: 5.2 quarter mile: 13.8/104
MT tested a 7AT with more miles, and got:
0-60: 5.0 quarter mile: 13.5/105
So what should a 300 pound lighter chassis do? A sport pkg 370Z with wider tires should launch well and get high 4s in the run to 60. The quarter should hover in the low 13s, but I don't think we'll see 110 mph from mag tests.

Unless the mags tests the 370z on a prepped 1/4 track you wont be seeing 12.9 from any of them imo. They usually test on straight section of whatever roadcourse they choose for that test. I think you may see some owners hit 12.9 at the 1/4 mile tracks but not the mags. MPH? Ill pick 108-109mph.
It's gotta be sub 5 sec on 0-60. My guess was 4.8 secs back when I heard the new horsepower output and I'm gonna stick with it. I think the current Nismo pulls a 5.1 from testing. As far as 1/4 mile, I'd say 13.2 seconds. These are obviously my magazine guesses seeing that owners can probably pull 13 flat at the track easily. Bye Bye STI!! I hate those things!!
Based on the G37 Sedan numbers (7AT). I think the better side of the numbers will be:
0-60 - 4.9 (maybe one 4.8 freak test somewhere)
1/4 - ~13.2 @ 107-108
This based on the 3704LB G37s Sedan doing 0-60 in 5.0 and 1/4 in 13.5@105.3
(Source: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...est/index.html). With the big weight difference, the Z may be even faster, but I think this G sedan was a freak.
