No. Only the front 18s weighed 21lbs. The rear 19s weighed 30lbs. So it's very likely that the new 19s do weigh 24lbs.

The breakdown is:

17s: 26lbs
18s V1: 26lbs
18s V2: 23/24lbs
19s GT/Nismo: 21/30lbs
18s Track: 18.5lbs

You're getting much wider tires which has alot more advantages then disadvantages. Not sure why people are complaining about that.
How is me saying that Nissan BSes "assuming"? In a nut-shell, I'd also rather wait and see until these wheels are weighed too, because of my skepticism.

Nissan adds lightness and heaviness at the same time.

The problem is not Nissan but "US", the marketplace.

Most want cruise control, a stereo with lots of speakers, multi-disc CD player, automatic air conditioning, electric seats, power windows, alarm system, less plastic and more padding in a heavily styled interior, lots of airbags, thick carpeting, ABS brakes, stability control, navigation system, music hard drive, power steering, multifunction steering wheel, etc.

We also don't like tire, wind and suspension noise so Nissan adds a lot of sound dampening and thick glass to the body.

All this adds up to more weight.

Wouldn't it be nice to have an "RS" model that eliminated all this crap and had light bucket seats

Given that Nissan's own Ray's made Nismo aftermarket 19 X 9.5" wheel = 20.9 pounds, a 10" wide Ray's wheel at 30 pounds stinks doesn't it?

http://www.350z-tek*.com/zwiki/Wheel_Specifications

I was also going to purchase a set, and before I did I asked the seller to weigh the rears. He told me his scale read just over 30lbs. For whatever it's worth, when I installed my winter tires last October, I weighed the 5-spoke 18s while they were off and they came out to 23 and 24lbs. Surprisingly light considering they're aren't even forged.

**Replaced tek with "tech".

yeah I am pretty sure that isn't right.

I have owned, fondled and weighed a set of the GT rims and they certainly do not weight 30 lbs without tires I feel secure in saying.

I think I actually posted the weights a long time ago somewhere too.

Are you sure? I don't really believe you to tell you the truth. You couldn't have possibly fondled them, liar.

Oh I fondled them alright. I was all up behind the spokes and everything. I even touched the nipples.

but seriously, bought them from a dealer in the boxes and they were not 30 lbs. Not even close. I ended up selling them because I'd rather the TE37s.

Then we need to have someone else weigh the rears again.

and smart of you to not just believe me. you really are from NY

my friend's car (who i sold them to) caught fire and burned to the ground so my set is... no more.

if you have a local dealer I think you might be able to find a few in the parts department. they had a problem with the finish reacting with cleaning solutions so they were forced to replace a bunch of sets for customers, even if only one had a mark. I knew a dealer that had piles of them... but some were actually messed up so I wasn't interested.
