Took pics with the new model- looks better in person
I was pulling into Phoenix for my vacation in Glendale, and came across a 370Z expo wrapping up. Two 370Z's were just sitting there waiting to be hauled away, so I rolled up alongside...

I missed the big production, so I didn't get to really check them out. The new Z is noticably shorter, has a GTR style A pillar, and the lights look better in person than in photos. I think they will be more formidable on the track. The old Z still looks nicer though, and I really wouldn't give up wheelbase. It adds stability and makes drifting easier. Fit and finish looked good, and the wheels are the best yet IMO.

fully disagree. i thought the pictures online made it look "ok" but after going and seeing it at the LA auto show, they look horrible in person. Nissan dropped the ball and have made it look cheap.

Cheap? in what way? care to elaborate? For one thing they did not make it look cheap in the interior department
The 370's hood looks a little bloated next to the original non-bump 350Z hood. (had to fit the larger motor somehow)
The rear fenders look manlier on the 370 though. (at least from the pics.)

I thought I got some photos of the rears, but they aren't in the camera
The rear hatch area of the 370Z pays homage to the original 240Z- that's one cool thing about it. The strut tower bar in back is also a little less obnoxious, yet it still isn't removable. I failed to look at the wheel wells to see how much tire you could stuff under there. Mine has 18x8.5/9.5's with 255s at the moment, and is lowered on RS*R springs. That's why the new Z looks so much taller.

can u guys tell the 370z body lines are alot similar to 240z body lines...sexy...oh rear quarters on the new z's are already flattened/rolled thats a plus...and the glove box is in the front now rather than behind the passenger seat....
