I've waited on passing judgment on the car until I see one in person. I still haven't, but in my opinion from the pictures, the interior looks good strictly from the fresh/new perspective, but its not the best part of the new Z. the exterior design is crappy and the wheels are just horrible. you'll need a lot of after market upgrades to make it look good. the engine and the tranny is the only real thing that draws me to the car, otherwise, unless i have a complete 180 degree change of heart when I see it in person, I'm sticking with the current one. Yes, its new. Yes, its better in a lot of regards, but you have to like what you drive. In the end, with the smaller car, I expected a bigger weight drop from the current model and that is the biggest disappointments for me.

Just my 2 pennies.

Nice post though, looks good.
no they can't, it is against the law to take a factory option out. whatever is on the window sticker is what you are stuck with.

Looks good. But I still dislike the front bumper and lights.

Dude, there is a HUGE difference between a factory installed option and a port installed option. Port installed options are things like the iluminated kick plates, floor/trunk mats, etc.

Hmm... I will wait until I see, feel and drive one before final judement. But I know I can say I like the looks of the '06+ Z better. This is something to get used to, but will happen after seeing them around I'm sure. Interior doesn't look much different layout-wise, but looks of nicer quality. Maybe less squeeks? I'm sure the car is much improved as a whole. My Z isn't going anywhere tho

You guys are very funny! How can you say that it looks bad? I think that any new change in design/technology MUST be better than the old model for the simple fact that it is updated and new. The 08 and before Z's are outdated!

I have owned an 06 rx-8 and love the new 09 rx-8. I also own an 08 WRX and and love the 09 WRX (changes to engine and suspension etc.).

I am thinking about my next car and I think this new Z is for me!

its either a hate it or love it situation personally i lov eit i guess it just grew upon me and meeting with some of the guys who told me about it and how it drives and yes they drove it before they said its like driving a gtr but worth ur money and besides those fangs u guys talk about they are there for a reason they allow better airflow on to the brakes for those who didnt know and the whole design of the car is to put back some the datsun genes back in it. its not made for looks made to keep the z saga going and if u were a true enthusiast of the z you would open the new z with open arms i cant wait to go see it next saturday cuz i might win one who knows shiet
