Good news, with the highest magazine trap speed so far!
My favorite color for the 370Z. I wouldn't be surprised to eventually see some trap 110+, when some competent owners get out to the track, during great conditions.
There really isn't any competition in the price range, imo.

370Z is one for one so far but next time whoever does the comparo should get better competition (I'd like to see the Hyundai Genesis and the new Mustang because I think both of them compete for the same target audience as the 370Z)...
Thanks for the link. I think this is the first shootout the 370Z has been in (I'm sure their will be more to come). Too bad Ford was relucant to provide a mustang for the comparo. From what I've read it's performance would have ranked it slightly behind the 370Z and the 135i but I would have liked to see what they thought of it's interior (I hear it's greatly improved).

but the V-6 with 300 hp would be too heavy for the horsepower to compete with the Z. Would be interested to see how the Camaro with the 6.2 LS3 V-8 would compete. Should be a tad lighter then the Pontiac GXP with the same engine so should be in the mix IF they have tweeked the suspension as articles have said. However, it will never post the skid pad numbers that the Z can.

Edmunds' Insideline did a piece of the Solstice GXP. I just don't get it, why does GM keep making cars that are less than impressive. You can draw your own opinion, but for me frankly, I would never buy this thing, ever!

Yes but the 135 has the tunes that will demolish the 370Z though.
Don't get me wrong this is awesome for the N370, but the BMW guys will always use that card and they are right.
The Vishnu stage 2 tune is amzing power for the money.

I checked out a 2008 Saturn Sky Redline at a local dealer before I bought my Z. What a piece of crap. Looks nice, but the interior was so bad, it wasn't even funny. It was a used car, with about 7K miles on it, but things shouldn't be falling off when you touch them at that stage of wear -- but they did. Even at 10K less than what I paid for my Z, I wouldn't touch it.
The Edmunds article wishes Pontiac will eventually refine the car into what it should be. Guess that's not going to happen now that GM is discontinuing the whole division and trying to sell Saturn. I hate to kick a dying domestic auto industry, but their offerings just don't keep up with the foreign competition.

Does anyone know if Pontiac made or will make the hardtop Solstice GXP before they go bye bye?
Also, I was amazed to find out that Pontiac is in fact making the G8 GXP afterall (although it appears there won't be more than 1,200 produced before they cease production).
The G8 GXP is pretty damn nice in person. LS3 + 6 speed + 4 doors = YESPLEASE
