G37 vs. 370Z
Hey guys, I'm going to be trading in my G coupe in about a year or so, and the top 2 new cars I'm looking at are the G37(maybe x) and the 370Z.
I'm looking for something similar to my G35, the looks, the power, the smoothness of driving it.
I'm leaning a bit towards the 370Z though because I am basically just looking for another sports car, I don't care much for all of the extra features that come with the G37.
I've driven an '08 G sedan before and honestly I just don't like the way it feels. What I mean by this is that if I push down on the throttle, I want to hear/feel the car respond.
I have not however driven the G37, but I'm only assuming that it's similar .
I've had many a ride in my friends 350Z, and the only thing that bothered me was the somewhat barren interior and the lack of room for just about anything.
Well anyways, thanks for your opinions and comments, I hope I was clear enough.

g37 S sedan...looks great IMO and same motor as the 370Z but if you were looking into getting a coupe then i would take a 370Z (which is what i would prefer) over the g37 coupe

G37 hands down. Some lady has a red one and I park next to her everyday (she knows I won't give her any door dings and vice versa) I think a nice TT setup with a clean drop and wheel/tire setup and I'd be happy. Just gorgeouse interior/exterior from the factory.

I have a G37 and have considered the 370Z because before the G I have the an 03 350Z. The 350Z was a great car, but the ride was quite harsh to the point it'd make your teeth click when you hit harsh bumps. I also had some Volk SF-Challenges and low profile tires which didn't help. the ride of the G is SO much better than what the Z was, but I hear the later 350s cleaned the ride up some and the 370 is a little better, but neither will match the plushness of the G. The older Z's interior was pretty blah and the new Z improved that a lot and is close to what the G is, but to me, the G still has it beat. The new Z, however, is much more agressive in both styling and performance of all the Z and G cars. The power in the G37 is great, but the weigh takes away from the feel. The new, lighter Z lets this engine's power shine through. As far as exhaust note? I think that's a non issue since most of those who are performance minded will more than likely change the exhaust no matter which car they own for two reasons; a louder or more agressive sound and weight savings. For me, I'd love to have the new Z, but ONLY because it's a tad bit faster than the G.
BUT, I will give props to Nissan for finally designing a car the BMW azz-suckers at Car and Driver picked as number 1 in a comparo over a BMW....even if it was the 135i. But that's another story.

Yeah I know, and that was the response everyone had when someone made the comment of "the ride is too harsh", but most also noted that it was harsh even FOR a sports car. Also, from what I've heard, Nissan made the later versions a little more "live-able" and did so, well, only becuase people were complaining about it. Otherwise, they would have left it alone. So, it obviously was a problem. All I'm sayin' is that that's all I'm sayin.

I think the g37coupe is FUGLIER! looks like a larger hyundai tiberon..can't stand the chrome grill..only thing I like is the rear tail lights at night time..as far as looks 370z is way sexier looking and has better lines.
