Default Picking up my 370z in 3 days, questions on High Engine Temps.

Hello, my 2009 Pearl White 370z Base arrives on Friday, very excited! One of the first few things I will probably do to the car include:

Mild Window Tints
Paint brakes (Caliper Red)
-..

...And the last one includes a mod or 2 to fix any temperature-maintaining deficiencies the car may have after a track run on a hot day. I assume it will have something to do with a new oil cooler? If anyone who already has a 370z, and done mods to fix the temperature problem (or knows of mods) I'd be glad to take in your information.

Your painting the base model brakes red? I would keep them stock looking and just change the pads. Painted open calipers are rice imo.

They just add the oil cooler. I feel like it would still takin a helluva beat down for the oil temp to really effect you. Like full on Time Attack on a super hot day...

I think the 4 pot front and 2 pot rears on the Sport could be painted just need to figure out if the NISSAN is a sticker or something that can be replaced after paint.

It didn't take much for them to go into limp mode due to the heat in the tests the 370z already had and it was winter time. Wait till summer.

I expected everyone to pay attention to red break calipers instead of my question, but i'm going to just paint them red anyway. I just don't want to spend a buttload of money on fancy calipers The little stockies deserve some love too.

Wishing for a result that looks similar to the pic i attached..

Since you decided you're going to paint them, make sure you get a professional paint job. Do it right the first time!

Anyways, the 370Zs haven't had a summer in the US yet so who knows what will happen as far as the heat issues.

I think we can assume a lot of people will track them and only the one's with problems will report their findings.

Damn I really thought I read everywhere that people had oil heating issues deep into the race day with lots of rubber being burnt. Sux...

I pay a performance shop in the town over to do everything

About my red break calipers...This isn't to bash anybody, but if 350z/370z owners are as intelligent, wealthy, and classy as many of you want them to be, you'll probably be able to find it within yourselves to recognize that your opinions on what people do to their cars are about as insulting as when somebody insults you for buying a Nissan. Don't want to take shots at maturity but many users make odd communication decisions that can make my350z a not so fun place to talk. It's not only my post about the breaks, and the people who responded to it that I am referring to, its also the dozens of other posts, and hundreds of other rude remarks that I see fly by the boards every time I visit the forum.

LISTEN. I'm glad that you're older and have the influential skills needed to change or help me somehow over the internet, even though I don't like your choice of words.

...Or maybe you're just a young kid. Too young to realize your opinion isn't everything nor does it mean anything, simply because I didn't ask for it. And since you're so bent on everybody elses age, I recommend you at least take a grasp on spelling and creating actual sentences so that people don't easily mistake you for whom you're trying to offend.

Hey, the Tanabe exhaust looks clean, and sounded nice when I had the car. But I realized that the act of switching out the stock cats with pretty much anything seems to kill that unique "Z" pur everybody loves. Rather, just doing a muffler delete (straight pipes after the cat) enhances that sound, as I've heard. If I could go back, I would have made a different choice, but only for that reason. I was just never really into getting an exhaust system for the horsepower gains.
