We'll almost certainly have a partial result in February. But for a full result we'll probably need about 20 more owners signed up.
For cars with enough participants we're now reporting two new stats, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds," to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year (not a thing wrong, nada) and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop. So anyone who's not already participating, please consider doing so.

We have our first result for the 370Z. With a reported repair frequency of 49 repair trips per 100 cars per year, the 2009 is about average.
Small sample size, so this is a partial result.

Small sample size, so this is again a partial result. But close to the minimum for a full result.

I would urge others to participate as surveys such as yours help us all. I have been on board for a few years for my two autos. I know you look at popular vehicles to get the right number of samples but would be interesting to look at Porsche. On their boards such as Rentech and Porsche Petes Boxster Board. In the 986 and 987(as well as 996) it is well known that there is a very rate of engine failure. Porsche will not publish any figures or answer any questions on the issue. Would be interesting to contact those boards to get some answers as they would love a good valid survey. On the Z, have not heard reports through the years on major engine failures but have heard of buring oil issues earlier and some tire feathering. Nissan seems to correct morst of their problems whereas Porsche tries small fixes instead of spending big bucks to effect a change. Nissan as a whole seems more responsive to customers or maybe they just want to grab more of the market where Porsche feels they have their niche and people will buy their marque regardless of possibility of engine failure once the cars are out of warranty.
I just signed up. But hey if you want more Porsche owners to sign up that still show a fair amount of engine failures. Check out 6speedonline. Not only will you have the Porsche owners, but also the Mercedes, BMW, GTR, and also Lamborghini owners.

With a reported repair frequency of 38 repair trips per 100 cars per year, the 2009 remains about average, but close to "better than average."
