The best part about this transaction was the amount you got for your 06. The rest is a matter of opinion. For myself, I would have kept the 06 and enjoyed having a clear title for a few years...assuming you already owned it of course.

I paid mine off in 3 years (a year ago) and still have just under 20K miles. It's a nice feeling to own a Z outright with clear title. I know some have the money to buy their cars upfront but I had to finance mine back in 06. As far as the 350 vs. 370 debate...they both have pros and cons so it's 6 of one, half dozen of the other for me.

The last time I visited my dealer for scheduled service a sales rep tried to interest me in trading. When I told him the mileage and that I owned the car he said trading would be stupid which impressed me. I will buy my next Z there when the time comes...waiting to see what the next gen will look like. I figure in another year or so the rumor mill should start up again.

sweet ride , ull love it! Get some H&R 15mm rear and 10mm front spacers and it will look 10x meaner... just my .02. I dropped my 370z and added spacers at 500 miles and even people who know nothing about cars asked what I did and commented on it looking "different" in a better way. When i park next to other 370s now its like night and day at my cars stance vs theres with just spacers and springs.

Tint, Eibach springs or KW3 if you have the money, and spacers on the oem 19s and that car is about as nice as it can look imo...

Stillen Exhaust or Fast Intentions is the way to go!

congrats regardless , sick car!

Just personal preference, but i wouldn't buy ANY sports car with a manual. You lose a lot of the "fun factor" and driver interaction with an auto trans. Sports cars made with auto trans are for people that can't drive a stick and don't know any better.

I think you meant an automatic transmission in your statement.

But I must say I love driving my Z with an auto. I spend more time driving and not shifting. I've been driving manuals only for 35 years since I was 16 and I'm not missing a thing. If I were in snow country I would recommend a manual naturally but the Z doesn't like snow anyway so it's a moot point.

i agree about the fun factor, but just b/c someone drives an automatic sports car does not mean they cannot drive stick. You sound like my 9 year old cousin.
