Default Taller Drivers, Leg Room ?

Hello all. I've been in the market for a sports car for awhile. I remember driving a 350z back in 2005, and thought it was fun. However, I remember the roadster in particular, I was extremely cramped with my knees stuck under the steering wheel dash. I'm 6'3 240. However, I just went out this weekend looking at cars and sat in the 370z coupe. Seemed like night and day difference. I felt like I was in that long and low position like a vette, vs the upright feel I had in the 350z. However, when I look at the specs on websites all of the legroom, hip room etc appears to be the same. I was wondering if I was just imagining things or did they change the seating positions. I was also wondering if possibly it was the coupe sat back farther than the 350 roadster, because of the top needing storage space?

The reason why you were cramped is because the convertible doesn't have as much space. I'm 6'4 215lbs and have plenty of leg room. Damn yall are some porky dudes, lol.

Welcome. Drive the 350Z coupe and roadster. Drive the 370Z coupe and roadster. Whichever fits best is the one for you.

Your a big dude. You must have a big frame. I've got a nice muscular build but if i was 245 I know I wouldn't be seeing my abs. One time when I was bulking for the winter I got up to about 230lbs and I started to feel fat. Then I started cutting.

I'm 6'4" 275lbs (some fat) and my wife has 350Z Roadster and I have new 370Z. 370Z has a lot more room. I feel like a canned sardine in the 350Z. I can stretch out in the 370Z. Think you will be happy in the 370.

how in the hell are guys that are 245 and 275 saying no fat to some fat. Give me some body fat percentages here or some proportions. I'm a pretty big dude and not anywhere near the weight of some of you. This is a picture of me at around 215-218lbs at 15% percent body fat. I need to see reference. I'm not a small dude. sorry, for the douche picture, lol.

I'm 6'4 230 and fit well in my 350z coupe with seat back. However sometimes if Im sitting more upright my hair if spiked will hit the roof haha. Now I have a good friend with a 350 roadster, he is 5'11-6'0 and fits perfectly in that, whereas I jump in and am very cramped with seat all the way back. Just recently went and checked out and test drove a 370z coupe and it was very comfortable, more than my current Z, but didn't seem like it had the same nice exhaust note. Other than that was nice and roomy and drove well. Kinda wished it had the digital speedo tho.

I notice the Z w/o the power seat reclines back further providing more leg room.
