EVERYTHING about the car is better (except the exhaust note). Hell, we got guys on the 370 forum putting down high 12.8's...stock!!!! Not to mention what it does on a real track. A well driven 370 WILL keep up with a 5.0.

no it WONT sorry. Ive owned both cars, tracked both, and the 5.0 always traps higher. Its the faster car low end top end everywhere... dont spread lies... After a small batch of mods the 370 will need FI to keep up

Im on the 370z dot com too.... Jnaut holds the all motor bolt on record and he trapped 111. Hell, we got guys on SVT trapping that bone stock down to the tire and the full bolt record being around 123-124 i think....thats TTZ territory

And about your "EVERYTHING" is better elitist response towards the 350Z...ill give it the interior is better. but looks are subjective, i was never impressed with the motor, and the handling is only a notch better, NOT worth the upgrade IMO

Considering I've bought 2 Z cars in the last two year, I should probably wait. I might just get a gt-r in a couple years...

Mods, mods, I dont care about mods. And SVT? We are talking about a bone stock 5.0. No Special Vehicle Teams, etc. I could make my John Dear faster than the Ford, but I agree the 5.0 is faster in an everyday straight line. However, equal drivers in ten drag races, the 5.0 will win all ten...but not by as much as people would think.

You may not care about mods, but 99.9% on this site are modded and care about a cars potential past stock limits. SVT performance is a website where ford enthusiast post, coyote, cobra, lightning, gt500 you name it. It's a ford vehicle website, I wasn't talking about an svt coyote, there's no such thing yet. Some people just don't seem to get that's the 5.0 can handle it's *** off. It will hand a 350, 370 it's *** in just about ANY arena. Not just straight line as you put it. The only place where I could see a Z having an advantage would be in the absolute tightest of auto x courses. That's about it. Straight line, low end, top end, twisties, slolom, circuit, track, a 5.0 will win, clearly and decisively. It's a hard pill to swallow, but z's are not in direct competition with 5.0's or even at there heals or close to it or honorable mention like your insinuating... It's in a completely different league and class

Its really not, its MUCH closer than one thinks. Im with CHIN Racing in Sebring and have tracked both the 5.0 and the 370Z. My best laps times are with the 370Z and thats a long course. IF I get more seat time in the 5.0 Ill probably better the Z time, again, but not by much. I agree the 5.0 is beast of a car and hell of a bang for buck performance wise, better than the 370Z. Two main reasons I dont own one is I see dozens of Mustangs every day, they are all so bland, and they handle very...sheepishly. Not bad mind you, just very disconnected.

You were talking stock for stock right, i cant see the 370Z (from personal exp) going more than 2 maybe 3 hard laps with it over heating, so i assume the Z has an oil cooler. Ill agree you feel way more connected in a Z, and the 5.0's are dime a dozen, the transmission(china made mt82) was/IS kinda shitty...i had to do a few upgrades like fluids, transline bushing, barton shifter bracket, just to get it "decent", but the motor, ford got it RIGHT. But I came full circle, back to a 350, HR specifically, the feel and fun of the Z is what seduced me back.

yes, totally stock in my '13Z (well brake pads and fluid only mod) and a '12 5.0 with pads and fluids. 2:41 and change with the Z and 2:44 in the 5.0. In my friends C6 Z06 I ran 2:34 and it had SO much more in her, fast SOB. Ironically, the Vette felt THE most disconnected of the bunch.

Yep, thats right. Year 12 and up come with stock coolers. Theyre not GREAT but it got me around 5 or 6 laps before it started to really climb.

I liked the 350Z leg room...the 370Z is cramped in comparison, but, the 280Z was better than either of them in that department.....I also liked the 350Z gauge layout better...

I myself drove a 370z about a month back. I was really wanting to upgrade. It was a '13 black cherry sport edition (with the spoiler and factory rays). Probably one of the most gorgeous cars I've ever driven. The interior felt much more mature than the 350, the cabin is quieter (which does mean you can't hear that interior VQ growl in stock trim) and the looks are more refined.

If I had to describe the transgression from 350 to 370, I've describe it as the 350 being the teenage version, and the 370 being the adult version. I'd say the 350z feels like the college student's Z, while the 370z feels like the professional's Z.

Ended up deciding to hold off on anything until my Z is paid off. Any other Z purchases in the future will be in addition to my current 350z. Cars like these are too good to not own each version of them; why not own them at the same time?

to me, the car payments are not worth the upgrade. would rather drive a modded 350z.

I never pulled the trigger on a 370z after owning a 350z. I test drove several 370zs but just couldn't justify buying one. I really didn't think you are getting a world of difference, apart from the added power and interior upgrade, especially at the price point a well equipped 370z came in at. IMO the 370z is everything that the 350z should have been but when you evaluate what the current market has to offer the 370z is so overpriced.

It`s been almost seven months since i got my new 370 after owning a 2004 350z.
So far, no issues at all, although its got only 5k miles currently.
If anything, it feels quicker than the 350z with the auto.paddle shifting, which is an awesome thing to have coming from a 6MT.
I do miss the awesome sound of the 350z's exhaust, but the interior and the looks from the akebonos, 19's, and daytime LED complety make up for it, not to mention the new car feeling.
In my opinion, the 370z is definetly a step up from the 350z.
