My buddy at work was just talking to me about his other friend who was car shopping.


Apariently he bought a 370z... Twin turbo NISMO from the dealer...


He said it is a 2016 with 6k miles and from the factory twin turbo..


I was telling him I don't think Z's have any turbo factory cars... I know we all want them but I don't think Nissan makes them.




But I wouldn't be shocked if I was completely wrong...


Is this aftermarket or did Nissan actually offer some turbo versions finally??

Aftermarket or POSSIBLY dealer (or dealer farm-out) installed. I'd heard (key word, "heard") that at some point, a couple of local area dealers in So Cal had sent car(s) to Stillen for one of their CA-smog legal FI units; but I wrote that off as wishful thinking too. But I s'pose it's POSSIBLE, I guess.

There is/never has been SUCH A BEAST offered by factory Nissan. (At least not in the US)

I was like I donnnntttt think they were ever offered from factory. I know people want them but I don't think nissan ever went with it. Especially on their nismo models.

 

I know of some here that had the Stillen SC added and were sold at the dealer with one hell of a mark up. But it's not factory, it's a dealer add on.

 

He only paid $32k OTL so I mean it wasn't ALL bad..

Its dual air boxes. Apariently the dealer told him those boxes were the turbo charge pipes...

Back when I test drove a new S2000 back in 04 the sales guy told me it was a V6... Think they just tell you what they think you want to hear.

Funny thing about that is I wanted to test drive a 350z and the sales guy wouldn't let me test drive it...

Ended up getting the RSX type s... Should have got the S2k

 

Yea same thing when my girl was buying her accord sport. Dude was making all sorts of wacky claims up and I ended up commenting on some of it and he started asking me questions lol

Figured eh why not so he can actually give people useful info on his next sale. So I then went into a brief description of what a sport exhaust does, vtech and some other stuff.

But to claim twin turbo and a fake nismo... that's a bit much. I'd almost consider that a false sale and misrepresentation lol
