I dunno, I've never liked deep dish wheels on cars that have a flat side profile. It makes the wheels look sunken in. I've seen a lot of 7 series with deep dishes, and they look horrible.
But my preferences must be a minority because I see so many people with them.

I love the drop on the GTR's and appreciate seeing different wheels on it, but definitely not feeling a mesh wheel on it. I think this style is a "miss". I see the GTR looking perfect with a 5 or 6 spoke wheel.
