Not in the States version. I am pretty sure the JDM has that -- they used a JDM one in TopGear in their review and it definitely had that.
The Viper was designed before the RX-7 so you are wrong about the Viper copying the RX-7. I believe it was first shown to the public in 1989. About the only validity to that arguement would be that the GTS that came out in 1996 had a double bubble roof similar to the RX-7. But that was done for head room and helmets moreso than for copying the RX-7. Im a huge RX-7 nut so no hate here.
I don't believe that the original Viper intentionally copied from anybody's design; but I'm also certain that the FD RX7 didn't take any design cues from the Viper prototype since Mazda was actually designing the FD as early as 1987.
