I thought my S5 was big!! Shots w/ 2 GTR's
I always found that the Audi counterparts tend to be better cars, but at the same time more expensive.
IE:
A4/A5 3.2 to 328i
S4/S5 to 335i
RS4/RS5 to M3
S6 to 550i
RS6 to M5
etc...
All RS models tend to be better than the BMW M versions, and the S models tend to be better than the next level down.
The only exception I can find is the Audi TT. The TTS is cheaper and not as powerful as the M coupe.

I view it just a tad different..

S4 to 335i
S5 to 650i
RS5 to M3
S6 to 550i
RS6 to M5
The S5 and 335 just aren't in the same league and I am truly a BMW lover. When side by side and when considering the refinement and what you get for what you spend, it's not even close.
Some will argue the performance numbers, but a 335 will also hold steady with a Maserati Gran Turismo. It has a terrific engine, no doubt, but it ends there as far as comparisons go...

S5 is definitely a better looking car, I just seen a black GTR in person yesterday up close, while it looks damn sexy, the S5 is just damn sexier! I love most if not all of audi's new line up. I must say the S5's size is the perfect size for a nice sports car, not too big, and not too small.
Mine is the black one, but my buddy and I were hanging out wit a couple of GTR's in his S5, and man the car is big!! I must also say that the interior looks much better and well put together than pictures suggest. I was impressed with the detail in the leather and the center screen doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. I actually give the GTR interior a thumbs up.
The exterior of the GTR is no doubt menacing. Standing still, the car looks a bit front heavy and over-styled, but on the road it has a very good look and outstanding road presence. The rear is a work of art, while the front could use some tweaking. Overall, it is better looking than I expected....

Neighbor owns a white S5. Sweet ride.
Those are some nice cars. On to the "big" issue with the GTR, I saw one on the road the other week, and it didn't look big, (when I was side by side with it at a traffic light) like others were saying. Maybe I'm just huge or felt cramped in the Z at the time.
Cheaper, yes. The 335i is an excellent piece of German machinery, but you cannot deny the fact that the S5 is an overall better car. It is far more aggressively-styled and more powerful.
The fact that the E92 is so common on the road makes owning the A5 a little bit more exclusive, since it will get a lot more attention.
