Cool Need help From GT-R Owners...

When the car was taken to dealership for its service, i got the new transmission upgrade thing from nissan... the transmission "seems" smoother, and the transmission clanking "seems" quieter...

did anyone do the upgrade, and did anyone notice a diff, or am i feelin some sort of placebo effect ?

Do what the other fellows said, however I had some questions for ya; the ECU flash (could, but) shouldn't necessarily have quited down your trans, did you also have any service done to it? Like your 1k POS service or anything? I've heard some other owners saying that after the 1k service, the trans was a lot quieter and some of the "machine noise" from the trans went away.

Haven't had the tranny reflash yet. Just changing the touch points in the transmission can go a long way to smoothing out the feel.

I decided to not get the reflash done on my car. Thought it might keep the value on my car

why would not updating it, improve your cars value?

The update should always be available. However, once updated, you cannot go back. I think in a few years, those cars with "LC 1.0" will be very rare, and might fetch a premium, especially if they've never been launched. That can be confirmed by a read of the Flicker box by a GT-R tech.

PPG makes a much stronger first gear replacement. Couple that with LC 1.0 and you get the ability to launch at 4500 rpm without shattering first gear.
